Birthday rainbow

After the party, after the nap, we went upstairs to the roof to see the beautiful rainbows that showed up on Christian's birthday party!
Such a fun and fortuitous ending to a memorable day.

First Metro ride

Only a truly loving father would leave his Audi at home so he can ride public transportation and to no particular destination at that, all to let Christian enjoy the ride. Go dad! Go Metro!

Disney Concert Hall

The music center world series is a new thing we discovered recently. it's perfect for learning about other cultures and listening to a wide variety of music. and it's kid friendly!

February was African American month and we were treated to African drumming and a super fun tap dancing group.

The Chan Band

We have a band in our house. It's in the vein of The Whites Stripes - two person band, drummer, guitarist, edgy, raw music.... sometimes not in tune...

Here's our guitarist.
He's very indie with bedroom hair, likes to play in his socks, and still lives with his parents.
